
Ingredients
♦ 3/4 cup soya granules
♦ 2 1/2 cups milk
♦ 5 tbsp sugar
♦ 1 tsp cornflour dissolved with 1 tbsp water
♦ 1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
♦ 250 mg (quarter gram) VDR saffron (kesar) strands dissolved in 2 tsp milk

Makes 4 servings
♦ tbsp almond (badam) slivers
♦ Soak the soya granules in enough hot water for 5 minutes, cover with a lid and keep aside.
♦ Drain well and wash the soya granules 2-3 times under running water. Keep aside.
♦ Heat the milk in a broad non-stick pan, and bring to a boil, while stirring continuously.
♦ Add the soya granules, sugar, cornflour-water mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes, till thick, while stirring continuously.
♦ Add the cardamom powder and saffron-milk mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
♦ Cool, refrigerate for 1 hour.
♦ Serve chilled garnished with almond slivers
